Pool construction types 03 Waterproof concrete

This construction is in Germany often as “White Tank” called. It is initially for the construction of basements (in groundwater) systems used. Bottom plate and outer walls of a closed tank made of concrete with a high water penetration resistance in accordance with DIN EN 206-1 and DIN 1045-2 manufactured. This concrete is also called water-impermeable concrete or waterproof concrete. Expertise and careful approach to planning and construction are key to a proper and even dense basement.

Pool construction types 04 sealed concrete

This design is suitable for the renovation of old concrete pools and for the new building. Unlike the “Weißen Wanne” (see post waterproof concrete) the concrete itself has no sealing function. Sealing is provided by a system on the inside of the pool. The components are matched to each other. This affects the adhesion to the subsoil and to each other. The coordination between the materials and the resistance to chlorine is secured too. Of course, the combination of the system is possible with waterproof concrete. The chemical attack on the concrete is made impossible by the seal.

2015 and 2016 Measurement and control of ozone in bottled water

In a district of Bangkok, there is the brewery "Pathumthani Brewery Co. Ltd.“. Since more than 10 Years, the brewery was built by a German company. The chief engineer of that time is now married in Bangkok and advises the royal company today. In addition to the beer money is made with water bottles. Just prior to packaging, the water is mixed with traces of ozone.

2015 Disinfect well water for brewery with chlorine dioxide

In the highlands of Ethiopia was build 2015 probably the world's largest brewery company Dashen. In an otherwise very water-deficient environment wells were drilled, which produce several thousand cubic meters of water every day. 132 km or 150 Minutes away by car, outside the city Debre Berhan ("Mountain of Light"), next to the fountain a large area for the brewery was opened. Here traditional African ways of life met with European technology.

2011 … 2012 Kükelhaus-school pool with hydraulic movable floor

The Kükelhaus School in Magdeburg, the building was 2009 built. For the children and young people a pool was designed with height-adjustable floor. As a base, a concrete construction should serve, which are lined in the system "Myrthapools" and with a height movable floor (Hubboden) should be equipped.

2011 Movable bridge over the competition pool in Saransk

Saransk is the capital of the Russian republic of Mordovia. Already 2010 the city has begun, to invest in infrastructure. Right next to the Ice Palace and the Sports Stadium, the palace of water sports was built. After the date of the opening was postponed due to delays in the other trades, was planned for December 2011 the completion of the bridge over the competition pool with a width of 25 meters. The pool itself is built with a length of approximately 51,50m, so that the end position of the bridge results in a pool length of 50,20m. With a displacement of the bridge to 25 Meter gets you 2 separate pools with a length of 25 Meter. These pools can be used differently in training and competition.

2011 Palace of water sports in Saransk, Troubleshooter for 30 days

Saransk is the capital of the Russian republic of Mordovia. Already 2010 the city has begun, to invest in infrastructure. Right next to the Ice Palace and the Sports Stadium, the palace of water sports was built. During the construction phase it became clear, that it would be difficult, meet the opening date. Because the inauguration of Russian President should be made, absolute deadline loyalty was required of all trades. My job was it, to guide the Russian technicians and to secure the appointment.

2009 … 2010 Hydraulic design and construction management of outdoor pools Tauern SPA

The village Kaprun, in the middle of the Austrian Alps 2010 expanded its tourism offer by the hotel thermal spa "Tauern SPA". The terrain, on which the Hotel Therme was built, is called alluvial. The structural engineer had to take this into consideration and has decided to, to let build the pools only at a time, when the largest forces already rests on the foundations. He has therefore chosen a variable and possibly weather-independent construction for the pools. The very precise requirements of architects have been implemented through a redesign of the overflow gutter and of the hydraulic connections. The stone-covered gutter saves energy, especially in the mountains.

2007 … 2008 Outdoor pool Meinerzhagen, the competition pool with sloping walls

The outdoor pool Meinerzhagen is located within view of the A45 Autobahn and had to struggle with the consequences. The abrasion of the tires sat down every year on the slide the pool wall. In a previous step, the water treatment had been converted to Vacuum Precoat Filtration. The dimensioning of the circulating flow done for cost reasons and because of the good filling water quality on 50% compared to DIN 19643. This places special demands on the hydraulics of the pool. The pool in the old state had a deep overflow channel and below the floor level slopped walls. Unfortunately, the old overflow reservoir had been dimensioned a bit too small – or the overflow channel and the gradient tubes too large. Therefore, this system had to be changed with a smaller channel and replaced with pipelines in the right slope.
