2019 … 2021 Development of a 6-channel ISE transmitter for the Humboldt University in Berlin

Description of the task

In the field of biosystems technology, the Humboldt University of Berlin is planning online investigations of the manure water of plants and fish. It should 6 Parameters can be measured and transmitted via web protocol.

In the spring 2019 I was commissioned to develop a transmitter, the millivolt signal of the ion selective electrodes (ISE) for the following parameters:

  • Calcium 0,1 … 2000mg/l
  • Potassium 0,1 … 2000mg/l
  • Sodium 0,1 … 1000mg/l
  • chloride 0,1 … 2000mg/l
  • nitrate 0,1 … 2000mg/l
  • Ammonium 0,1 … 1000mg/l

In order to be able to correctly assess the results, the following signals should also be evaluated:

  • 2x pH value pH0 … pH10,
  • 2x conductivity 0,1 … 10mS/cm
  • 1x 0 … 100°C

However, these parameters were transferred to another suitable transmitter / Adjusters outsourced.

Since the system is mainly about the web availability of the values, the development and installation of a display on the ISE transmitter was dispensed with.

Plant status

The transmitter and the additional device are being tested at Humboldt University. They will be used in a calibration machine that is currently being developed.

The satellite image in the map below was taken around February 2020 recorded and shows the outdoor pool in the condition of the construction site. In a further phase of the renovation, the building, recognizable by the black solar system on the roof, be sanitized.

The object is located here: Unterdorfstrasse 24, 58849 Herscheid, Germany, Märkischer Kreis,
